Imagine how you’d feel if you performed difficult tasks without ever having any appreciation shown for what you have done?

What about if you were constantly expected to do boring, unpleasant chores - do you think you’d be happy? Do you think you’d want to continue to go about doing these tasks?

Who cooks the meals? Where did those freshly washed clothes come from? Where did all the dust go? How did the kids eat lunch every day? Do you even know where the vacuum cleaner lives or how to clean a toilet – properly?

I have to say it men – we are particularly guilty of not noticing what our partners have done around the house. Do you ever stop and think about all the effort your partner puts in? Do you ever thank them for all that they do – day in and day out? Do you offer to play your part and take on some responsibilities?

As humans, it is much easier to do chores when someone is appreciative and take note of what we have done. I know men usually like to get recognition when they perform the smallest of tasks while the women go about do so many things that men don’t even notice.

Start making a note of things that need to be done around the house. Pick up that mop voluntarily and just clean the floor. You don’t have to be obvious about this as women will definitely notice when you have done something.

Thank your partner for your clean clothes, the beautiful meals, the dust free house and the clean sheets – she will love you for it.
